Fort – 4 – Fitness Festival
Annual event featuring a Half Marathon, 5K Run/Walk, Health Expo - September 2008
The event promotes healthy lifestyle initiatives, attracts runners on a regional level, and enhances the overall quality of life within the community.
The Fort-4-Fitness Festival is a by-product of the recently completed “Fort Wayne Walks a Million Miles Campaign” and is destined to be an annual celebration of this community’s commitment to improving the quality of life.

Special Olympics-Allen County
As the only chapter of Special Olympics within the state who has a designated home site, the Special Olympics-Allen County Chapter will not only serve over 3400 eligible participants who reside in our community, but will have the ability to host major regional, state, and national events in our city.

World Baseball Academy
Fort Wayne will be the International Headquarters for the World Baseball Academy.  This project, endorsed by Major League Baseball International, the International Baseball Federation, and World Baseball Fair, will attract teams from other countries into the community each year.   
Cross cultural outreach on a global scale will proudly make Fort Wayne an international attraction, strong economic impact, and business opportunities to our community.
